Nature is an amazingly beautiful and powerful, yet unpredictable thing. The natural environment holds a special place in my life. My educational background is in Environmental Science and Biology. My favorite pastimes include biking, camping, hiking and playing soccer. Of all my adventures, giving birth naturally is my greatest and most fulfilling accomplishment.
I feel that every woman who desires a natural birth should be given the opportunity. Realizing how difficult that can be in today’s society led me to pursue training with ALACE as a doula.
As your doula I will meet with you and your partner to discuss your goals and desires for your birth. I will be available through the pregnancy to answer questions or guide you to appropriate resources. Most importantly, I want you to go into your birth with confidence.
During labor (either at home or in the hospital) I use comfort techniques and skills to support you and your partner both emotionally and physically. My support continues after birth with breastfeeding and any postpartum concerns.
