Having a baby is such a special time in a woman's life and to be a part of it is a high honor for me. I believe in serving women in whatever type of childbirth they desire. I am DONA trained and in the process of becoming DONA certified.
I will meet with you at least two times during your pregnancy and will accompany you during your labor and delivery. I will stay with you for the first few hours to ensure the initial breastfeeding is off to a good start. After you are settled in at home I like to meet and talk about the birth and answer any questions you have.
I graduated from Samford University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies. Since then, I have worked in Child Protective Services in Georgia and in North Carolina. I also served as the Church Ministry Director for the Eastern Baptist Association. I now stay at home with our two sons, ages three and one. Two years ago, I began a local mom's group in our community for support and encouragement and we continue to gather several times a month.
