Dedication to education and empowering womankind has led me to become a professional childbirth educator and labor assistant. After the unmedicated birth of my first child, I realized the awesome gift we are given as females. The power our body has to create, birth, and nourish our children is unsurpassed by any other achievement. A woman has the right to choose how she will give birth; for it is her body, her expression of nature, that gives life. My goal is to inspire women to birth with confidence and empower families in making active choices.

My role as as a childbirth teacher and doula is to understand a woman's personal needs and desires for her birth and to support her decisions. I am trained through "ToLabor" as a birth assistant and childbirth educator, I have Basic Midwifery Skills Training through The Farm, I am certified in Neonatal Resusitation and I am an apprenticing Midwife. I have a degree in Education and taught for nearly a decade in the school system. I have been offering childbirth classes and doula services since 2006.
